I whent up north alote then I whent to cider point for the end of the year then to new hampsher then to vermont then I whent to chcogo for mateusz birthday and I whent because my mom had a business metting.oh and i for got to tell you that i whent to my cusin for a sleep over and we whent to the michigan fieald and I got a poster and i got it sing .But I do not like michigan.
I went to the Toledo Zoo. My favorite exhibits were the monkeys, the reptile house, and the aquarium. We ate at a restaurant called The Beastro. The waiters kept giving you tortilla chips and salsa. I had a hot dog and a few too many Sierra Mists. I took a lot of bathroom breaks. We met the Kornmeiers thereand Kevin and I played on the playground. I had a blast

DeleteThis summer, I went to Springhill with Lauren. Springhill is a summer camp where you do lots of fun things. You do archery, you go on waterslides, stay in a cabin,go horseback riding, ziplines, and you even get to use rifles! But you can do so much more at Springhill. I made a candle there, and also made a bracelet for my sister Hannah there. I also did sports camps this year. I did 2 soccer camps, 2 feild hockey camps, a basketball camp, and a lacrosse camp.

DeleteThis summer I went up north to my parents' friends' cottage. Sadly we drove home on my birthday. I did competetive swimming almost all summer. Then we went to Canada and my I.D. wasn't enhanced, so they almost didn't let me back into the U.S. The most fun thing I did this summer was probably the once in a lifetime chance to meet an olympic swimmer, Allison Schmitt.

DeleteThis summer I went to Higgin's Lake. It is one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan, the water is crystal clear! We went with lots of friends. The most fun thing was going double tubing because I jumped from tube to tube. We fished, did lots of swimming, went bowling, played basketball, went tubing down a river, and had a bon-fire every night.
I was also on the GPC swim team with my brother, sister, and my cousin Lauren, who stayed with us almost all summer.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I went to Chicago. We went to the Chicago Science Museum of Industry. We visited a myth busters exhibit. We also went to the Shedd Aquarium. my favorite part was the Seahorses.I loved them a lot! I also did swim team. I made the finals in the 100 I.M (individual medley. Butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. I got ninth in the league! Elizabeth was also in my event! Our team got fourth overall. We also visited my grandparents and cousins in New York. I swam across the entire Conesus Lake. It was SO tiring! It was an awesome summer!

Grace P. AB over the summer I went to an awesome camp called black river were I rode lots of different and beautiful horses. My favorite horse was one named Sanoma who is brown with a white star on his forehead and white half stockings on his front legs and full stockings on his back legs. Stockings are white markings that look like socks going up his leg. ReplyDeleteI went to my cabin on Breevort lake right outside of St Ignace this summer. The first time I went, I went with the Ruffings because Katy Ruffing is my sister Jennifer's best friend. The next time I went was with my dad's side of the family. That was an interesting vacation. And then we went with our close family friends the McShanes and the McMahons in late July. That is always the most fun trip of the year. It is a tradition that has been going for almost 15 years. And finally we went up north on the last week of summer. This trip was taken with my 2 best friends from pierce, Genna and Claire, and again, Katy Ruffing.

ReplyDeleteThis summer, I went up to Northern Michigan with my grandparents, cousins, and aunts and uncles. We had a ton of fun kayaking, jet skiing, tubing, snorkeling, and boating. One night we had a really bad storm, and the power went out. It didn't come back on 'till 7:00 P.M. the next evening! My swim team,(the Grosse Pointe Shores Sharks) placed fourth or fifth in the finals, I don't remember. We went to Ohio two or three times during the summer, and at the end of the summer, we visited the cousins on my dad's side of the family in St. Louis! We also got our guinea pig Peanut! My dad and I also went to a Notre Dame football game. Notre Dame beat Purdue!! GO YANKEES!!

ReplyDeleteOver the summer I went to North Carolina and rented a beach house on a private beach. I visited my cousins in Bloom Field and when tubing with friends after the 4th of July. I also just hung out with other friends during the summer. And my favorite thing that I did over the summer, was relax. I love being able to do what I want over the summer. It was a very good summer.

ReplyDeleteI went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History this summer. My favorite part of the museum was the Titanoboa exhibit. Titanoboa was an ancient snake that had the girth of a manhole!

ReplyDeleteThis summer I went on a Carribean Cruise with my father, brother and Vicky. We saw so much of the islands down there in which one we saw an giant iguana on the road. We had a blast including when we went swimming with sea turtles. I had a cast on so I didn't enjoy it as much as i would have liked to. I had a good time playing videogames with my older brother. At the end of the summer we played badmitten and volleyball. My soccer practices started at the very end of the summer, but it was still fun for me and the rest of my family. Although, all of that ended when school started which meant lots of homework.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I watched some TV,played baseball,and went on a big trip to Cooperstown, NY, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. At the Hall of Fame,I explored some historical exhibits,bought some cool stuff, and I met some Hall of Famers! I also played catch in the park that's next to the Hall of Fame. I also went to my sister's recital, visited Somerset, I went to a cool dinner with Tiger's great Lance Parrish, played outside a lot, and went to the famous Niagara Falls. That is what I did all summer.

ReplyDeleteI went to Cedar Point at the end of the year. Then I went up north. Then I went to New Hampshire for my uncle's graduation. We had a house in New Hampshire, but the graduation was in Vermont so we went back and forth between New Hampshire and Vermont. Then I went to Chicago for Mateusz's birthday and because my mom had a business meeting. And then I had a sleepover at my cousin's and we went to the Michigan stadium and I got the autographs of the junior football players.

ReplyDeleteThis summer, we went to Florida with my father, older brother, and Tommy. The thing is, we woke up really early for the flight, REALLY early. So i drank a lot of coffe. So of course through out the whole plane ride, i felt icky. And just when we were about to land, lets just say i tossed my cookies, or in this case, tossed my coffe. We went on a cruise, and i went swimming with sea turtles, stingrays and all sorts of funky fish!!! So sad that it's all over...

DeleteVicky, you are like me... I generally feel fine during the flight but there's something about the descent that makes me feel sick. I'm sure the fact that you didn't feel well during the flight didn't help, but the descent is always the reason I need Dramamine.

It was a very entertaining trip and I hope to do it again next summer. Most of my summer was me watching TV and playing video games. I got to hang out with some of my friends this summer as well. I feel that this summer was a very good one.

ReplyDeleteI did a lot of cool things this summer. The highlight was definitely going to Cedar Point with T.J. Dulac. I loved going on the Dragster, even though it broke down a couple times. The Raptor was also pretty awesome, and I had a blast. I also went to Seattle a couple of times to visit family, which I do every summer. That was fun and the weather there wasn't actually that bad.For the rest of the summer I hung out with friends and played soccer. I had a fantastic summer, but I have to admit it went by too fast.
Rosie W. 6A- This summer my family and I went on a trip to Long Island. We drove a lot, but then we parked our car on a ferry and got off once we were at Long Island. My dad's good friend from high school has a place there. The island is so big, it doesn't even seem like you are on a island.Some people think it is a peninsula. It was really fun there because we swam in the ocean and then we went to an aquarium where there were sharks. That made me feel weird about going in the ocean, but I still swam anyway. I had a really fun summer!:)

ReplyDeleteThis summer I went to the Niagara Falls and it was really cool, it was all misty. I got really wet when I went on the boat ride. We were there for 3 days. Then we went up north to my uncle's cottage. I went shopping with my mom all through the summer. I also played tennis for 4 hours a day and I had to swim for 2 hours. We had swim finals in July and I placed first in all of my events. I also went to my friends house. We had sleepovers and it was really fun! I also went to the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club with my friends and we did crazy things! We pretended like I had a broken leg so I had to sit in the wheel chair. We did many crazy things you wouldn't think we would do. We also went on my friends boat and it was really cool. Well, that was my summer! I'm looking forward to next year.
John Paul B. 8B, This summer was very fun. I went up north for a week and went hiking and fishing. I also spent plenty of time with my friends. I played baseball, soccer, and football with my friends this summer. I went to my Grandpa's cottage two separate times the first I had two cut down trees, plant grass and pull weeds for six hours. But the second time was more relaxing as I went swimming with my cousins and played pool. my Grandpa's cottage is in Lexington.
ReplyDeleteJulia G. 6B This summer I went to Turkey. It was lots of fun. I got to see lots of Roman ruins. My favorite part of the trip was getting to watch huge balloons fly in the sky with people inside. My mom asked me if I wanted to go but I said no, I was too scared. I din't like very much the food in Turkey. It was always meatballs or chicken. I got sick of eating that all the time. I stayed in Turkey for 2 weeks. When we had to leave I was sad because Turkey is such a wonderful place. After Turkey me and my family stayed in Brazil for a few weeks. We had to say goodbye to my family and come to Michigan. That was my summer, I loved it!

ReplyDeleteOver the summer I did many things. I went to Florida for ten days at the beginning of the summer for volleyball AAU Nationals. While I was there, Florida got the most rain they would get in a half a year! One of my friends from when I was little came to visit me from California for two weeks in July. Other than that I hung around Grosse Pointe, went to my condo on Torch Lake and hung out with my cousins and friends. All in all my summer was eventful and amazingly busy.
Connor H. 6A This summer I went to North Carolina . The house we stay in is right on the beach and is nice and quiet and very private. The only way to get to the house is by four wheel drive. What's also pretty cool is that we saw tons of wild horses on the beach and in the dunes. We also had a pool and a hot tub, they both had perfect temperatures. We also went jet skiing, but that was not one of my favorite parts of our trip. This summer we also went to a bunch of Tiger games, which we do every summer. We had BBQs with family and friends and awesome fireworks at our house on the fourth of July. My summer was also filled with lot of swimming at my friends house and having Airsoft battles with neighbors and friends. It was a great summer!
ReplyDeleteMichael L. 8B This summer, I played golf almost every day. I spent 10 days Up North with Chris Elliot in Charlevoix. I also flew on a private jet (no, it wasn't mine or Chris'). Chris and I had a blast. We went to the movies everyday. On the days I didn't golf, I hung out with my friends, or went tubing on Kevin's boat. The summer flew by, but it was great.

ReplyDeleteThis summer we went to Mackinaw Island. It was so much fun we went around the island on our bikes. That was 8 miles. We stayed at Mission Pointe. We stayed in the straight lodge there.
We also went to Sagutuck. That was fun!! We stayed at AmericInn. We climbed the 300 steps they have there, and there was a trail that led down to a beach (Oval Beach). The water there was really cold. We stayed there for three days.
We also went to Michigan Adventure. We went there after we went to Sagutuck. We went on lots of rides. My favorite was Shivering Timbers. The biggest wooden rollercoaster there.
We also went boating in Lake St. Clair.
We also went to the beach ALOT. I mean like Firday, Saturday, Sunday. Almost those days every week this summer.
I also did a golf camp for a week with Carter and Spencer Moritz. It rained one day out of the five. That day was a bummer.
Last but not least on my list of things that I did this summer. My grandparents and uncles came to visit. YAY! We did lots of things with them.

But mainly i spent my summer hanging out with my friends and went to the pool and to the village. I had a lot of fun this summer!!!
ReplyDeleteCarter M. 6B This sunmmer I went fishing on Lake St. Clair with my Dad. I caught an 18 inch fish. My family and the Burmeister's went to Hines Park and road Sagways. In June, we went to Florida and went fishing in the bay. I cuaght the biggest fish, it was a five foot Bonnethead shark.
ReplyDeleteMaria H. 6A This summer I drove with my siblings and dad to Florida. It took more than twenty hours! We did stop on the way at a hotel and then started again in the morning. When we finally got there our legs ached from sitting in the car all the time. It was fun to have a hotel room for this was our home for now. My Uncle lives in Florida with some other of our family. I hadn't seen him since I was four or five. It didn't take to much to get used to each other. My Uncle has a really cool pool he built himself and his house. It is a structure of rock, basically. There is a waterfall that you can jump off of. We went in it almost every day. We also went to Aquatica, a water park. There were tons of water slides. One water slide was a race with seven other people. You would lay on a mat with handle bars. When I came down the slide, there was a big turn, then I went on a very steep drop! Tons of water sprayed in my face, so I could barely see! I didn't win the race, but I had a very fine time on the water slide. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go on it again. I still had fun on others. I enjoyed seeing the palm tree's and beautiful flowers. Florida is a place I recommend for you to go!

ReplyDeleteI went to Florida For my Birthday i had a lot of fun all of my aunts on my dad side came except for my auntie Tanya she lives in Arizona so she couldn't make it. but everyone else came. i had chocolate cake for my birthday and a good swim. then we went on all of the roller-coasters and played a bunch of games i had a great time with my family, and i cant wait until next year to have all that fun again.

ReplyDeleteFor the first half of summer, I woke up every morning at 7:25. I had to get to the cold, community pool by 7:45 and swim at least 75 laps in a thirty-six meter lane with no breaks. Fortunately, the second half of my summer was much more relaxing. I went up north a little bit. Then I drove 14 hours to Qougue, Long Island and spent a little less than a week in an AWESOME house right on the beach.

ReplyDeleteThis summer my big sis got married.She got married at St.Paul and the reception was at the yaught club(sorry if i spellt yaught or spellt wrong!). I danced with my friends until 12:00 (ps the reception started at 4:00, but that includes the cocktail hour and dinner, which was fabulous.)I also went to the mall of america and went on the largest rope obsticle course in the world!It was 5 stories high! i had a great summer and i didnt even have to take a plane anywhere.

GraceR. 6B This summer I did a ton of things like going up north and going a hamster ball then went to camp at the forth of July then went to Canada and went cliff diving at the Grotto then I got my longboard and did a charity event for doctors without borders and did 15 out of 20 miles on my longboard and fell and got stitches a block away from the destionation then went to Cedar Point and went on a roller coaster for the first time and went on one ride 7 times then went back up north only to get really sick so that was my summer and over the summer I had to go to the hospital 7 times, 2 for stitches and 4 when I was really sick.

ReplyDeleteOver the summer I wen to Walloon Lake. We went water skiing and swimming. Then some of our friends came over and we went tubing. There was a ton of crashes but it was still lots of fun. But it felt like summer went by way to fast. And I can't wait to come back next year!

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, summer went by way to fast, but I still had a great time. I went on a trip to Grand Rapids, where I visited the Gerald R. Ford and the Children's museums there. I also went up north and went to Mackinaw Island. I also went to the Toledo Zoo, The Grand Rapids Zoo, and a place where you can go and feed deer. They had 25 baby deer, And my favorite was an Albino deer named Pistol. He was so tame and calm they actually let him roam around.

ReplyDeleteThis summer my cousins from Mexico came to Michigan. They stayed for 2 weeks. We did a lot of fun things with them. We went to Cedar Point, went to our cottage up north, and held the Borrego Olympics (that's a thing we do every 2 years with our family). We did a lot of fun events like eating doughnuts off of strings and 3-legged races. After they went home, we went back up north almost every weekend. On one of the weekends, Lauren came up with me!

ReplyDeleteThis summer i played alot of golf. I went to Arcadia Bluffs, in Arcadia Michigan. It was really fun. I also went to lake Ann, which is near traverse city, to visit my cousins. We stayed there for one week. We tubed and jet skiid. I am dissapointed that summer is over. but i am looking forward to the next one!!

We also went up to his cottage and did many water activities suck as wakeboard wakeskate tube and many others. I also went to my moms cottage in port Huron with all my cousins. We also had my Aunts wedding in my backyard. It was so much fun! My summer was great but went by far too fast.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I enjoyed traveling to many new places! I went to St. Croix one of the 3 U.S. virgin islands to visit my sister, I had such a great time. Also this summer I went to Destin Florida with my Aunt and 3 cousins, I had a wonderful time at the beach and doing many other activities with them. Every year my family and a couple other families go to Cedar Pointe on our boats for a long weekend, although I have a terrible ear infection I still had fun going on all the rides. Hope you had a great summer too!
